Shake your pom pom!

Well I have been back for a week after my amazing trip to Amsterdam for the Stampin’ Up Onstage Live event.

It was a wonderful weekend with some wonderful teamies with lots of fun included and shaking of pom pom’s!

We got to preview the new catalogue, aah and ooh over new products and lament some that are going.

But all in all it is a fabulous new catalogue, which you can get to see on 1st June!

However if you come to my classes regularly you may get some sneek peeks before then.

This Saturday we will be making these two cards, plus a surprise two!

So you will probably notice that they are very similar in design but i wanted to show you how they could look different, using similar formats.

You may be wondering how i managed to get Night of Navy ribbon, particularly if you also know that Stampin’ Up do not have a ribbon in this colour…….

Well it was simple!

I filled my spritzer with some rubbing alcohol, added 20 drops of Night of Navy re-inker and gave it a good shake. I then put the ribbon (it was the satin ribbon from the spring/summer catty) into a plastic food bag. Sprayed the navy mixture into the bag making sure to cover all the ribbon in colour.  Then “smooshed” it up. I then emptied the ribbon out onto some kitchen roll to dry. This dry’s really quickly because of the rubbing alcohol, and voila! Night of Navy ribbon!

You could change the colour for any one you like, and mix and match shades for what ever your project requires.  Just make sure to wear some gloves as this can get very messy. But it was fun too!

Let me know if you give this a go and show me your projects!

Next Coffee, Cake and Cards class is Saturday 22nd April. 2-4PM at The Bungalow, Hale, Farnham.

We make 4 cards for £7.50 or free if you place a qualifying order!

Next Crafty Monday session will be on 15th May. 1-3pm at the same venue as above.

Please get in touch if you would like to book your place at either of these or if you would like any more information.

For now I will speak to you soon!
